Connecting the dots
Hello, Data Geek.
In today’s issue, I wanted to try something different in order to help more people to find great roles.
So, in the week, I collected and scattered the Internet, looking for great new opportunities for people in the tech space.
And what I’ve found is very promising: despite all the layoffs in many companies, there are a lot of great companies still hiring and looking for awesome people out there.
My primary job with this newsletter is actually helping people to find new jobs. That’s why I wanted to use this platform for precisely that.
So, what will you find in today’s issue?
A very cool opportunity from a company called Census
A lot of great resources for reading and watching the weekend
Some Tweets to help you to revamp your skills and job search game, including how to use the power of AI to do it
and much more
I didn’t want to finish this intro before sharing this to help a good female friend here: My friend, who is a Technical Recruiter, is looking for her next gig. She is based in Colombia, so this must be a remote opportunity.
She is very good at this, but more importantly from my perspective: she has a passion for helping people.
If you want to chat with her, reply to this email or send me a message on LinkedIn. I would love to share her profile with you.
Enough from me.
Enjoy the content of this week and happy job search.

Tweets that will help you with your job search efforts
This tweet from Gokul Rajaram is so on point
Job seekers, Beware. One of the most dangerous / risky things you can do for your career is to join a company to work on or lead a “yet to be staffed” product or business.
While it can be seductive to imagine the possibilities (and company execs will encourage this thinking… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Another great tweet is this one from Tanya Bragin (VP of Product at ClickHouse) about the differences between being a Product Manager at a startup vs a big company in tech.
In my latest Medium article, I look at unique challenges being a PM at a startup vs in "big tech" - founder dynamics, role of product marketing, and engineering agility as the company grows. 👇medium.com/@tbragin/produ…

And if you were looking for tips on how to use ChatGPT for your job, you will find a lot of cool stuff from Greg Isenberg.
He shared exactly here how to use the power of ChatGPT (and AI tools in general) to be more productive and more proactive at work.
So... late last night, a friend called me in tears
She just lost her copywriting job at a 1000+ person company
The culprit? ChatGPT.
This is a wakeup call to lawyers, accountants, consultants etc (read this to stay ahead):

2 beehiiv-based newsletters you should check out
If you are very active on LinkedIn, you should have seen two or three posts from Bonnie Dilber, a Recruiting Lead from Zapier who shares a lot of great tips for job seekers every single week.
And now she has a newsletter on beehiiv that definitely you must check out if you are looking for a new role today.
Some of my favorite posts there were where she shared how you can revamp your job search with A.I tools, and how to stand out on LinkedIn.

That’s the case of Just Go Grind by Justin Gordon. He has written amazing profiles for incredible entrepreneurs in the tech industry like Dharmesh Shah (HubSpot), Tope Awotona (Calendly), Ooshma Garg (Gobble), Melanie Perkins (Canva), Patrick Collison (Stripe), and many more.
